Hmm i don't know if it's a problem with my monitor or what ... After I learnt about the RAW editing thing, i've been shooting RAW+BASIC since then ... then i've been playing with editing alot .. and I found out that the quality is worst than before =.="

So i decided to try NOT to do any changes ... just open the RAW file .. and save it as high jpeg ... then i compare that with my original basic file ... the basic file turn out to have better colour :0

Is it my monitor problem or it's just my editing skill sucks :P

Sounds like both....:P

There should be a default raw setting in PS2 raw plugin see if that matches ur jpg shot.

Heh, well RAW doesn't have the settings applied to it like Jpeg, so you have to add contrast and saturation in post.

When you load the RAW aswell, when you convert out make sure it says sRGB at the bottom of the RAW converter, not Adobe.

Also you can press the 'auto' setting in the RAW conversion, then tweak the exposure according to the histogram, correct the white balance and add saturation and contrast to taste.

Then save it as high quality jpeg and compare with the original.

If you want to conserve MAXIMUM detail, like to an anal level - you can choose 16bit.

But you still have to convert to 8-bit to save as jpeg.
