since my friends all started class, i took a 3 day tour to the grampians. for 138 aus dollars, it's a 1 day guided tour and 2 nights accommodation at a youth hostel. it's pretty reasonable but car renting with friends is still cheaper and gives you more flexibility

grampians is the home to alot of wildlife especially kangaroos.active during dawn and dusk , i saw as many as 100 at one time.

a river down by halls gap, the lady was part of my tour group and was having lunch down there.

grampians is basically covered with mountain ranges, about 5 of them and there are quite a few nice lookout points. the big bush fire last year wiped out alot of the trees, giving a clear view of everything. the smell of burnt wood remains though and many hiking trails are still closed.

halls gap from atop. halls gap is one of the towns at the national park. has all the basic stuff from restaurants to convenience stores. no car rental though, and only 1 taxi!

grampians yha, the hostel i stayed in. for about 20-25 aus a night, it's cheap and clean. kitchen facilities are top notch and it's eco friendly. the staff is friendly as well :)

the 3rd day was raining , so the only picture i got to pull out was this morning mist

The waterfall is a 20 minute walk down slippery steps in that area. It was packed when I was there last time and you managed to get nicely exposed silky smooth water! Great job!
