The way I figure it, if one can get an additional income of RM2,400 per month as a result of buying this camera, then the RM28,000 price tag would have been recovered in 12 mths.

there's also an option of RM 28,000 payable in 24 equal interest free installment....RM1k + a mth...
That's provided you have at least Rm30,000 in available credit limit by your credit card hehehehe.:P
Add 3k more u can have downpayment for a new nice house 10% downpayment for a 300,000 condo on average in upmarket Damansara area

This announcement makes me wonder if Canon is going to venture in MF soon.

I say it again....the 1Ds Mk3 is really a bargain when u consider that the "other" 22MP digital toy is asking for RM72,434.70

This announcement makes me wonder if Canon is going to venture in MF soon.
This is the answer:
Responsive, Ultra-High Resolution, Ultra-Low Noise CMOS Sensor and Dual "DIGIC III" Image Processors Power the EOS-1Ds Mark III Into the Realm of Medium-Format Digital Cameras, at a Fraction of the Cost – Fast, New Ultra Wide-Angle 14mm Lens Is a Picture Perfect Match for the Camera's Full Frame Sensor

i think an easier way to describe it:
Canon already has too much invested in their current DSLR system, 35mm sensors, whole range of 35mm lenses etc.
For Canon to start another system from scratch would cost too much in terms of R&D.
:)

Well then better think if canon is gonna use their FF as the primary chip for ALL their DSLR line up :P. Imagine a successor of 400D and 40D having FF sensors in them :P

ya, it may be true that it would cost a lot to invest in MF from scratch. Does MF uses different type of lens where it is not compatible with out dSLR? I am new to MF, hehe.
