Anyone has this close up filter? I plan to get one and is wondering if anyone here is using it. Would be nice if can meet up and try out on my 70-200 :P

What is the price like in Malaysia and any idea which shop caters it?

Used to have one and used on my 70-200L. Coming from true macro lens, I don't like it. It is not a 1:1 magnification. So, I sold it and bought a sigma 150mm macro and happy with it....

Does it focuses only at 500mm ?

500D is ok, it's not bad.

It's your only option for close-up at 77m thread. You could get some extension tubes too which would enable you to focus closer.

If you are serious though you're much better off getting a proper 1:1 macro lens like the Sigma 150mm or the Tamron 90mm.
