After going through the specs, I have nothing but high praises for Nikons's two new beast of a machine! They are amazing! I am especially bowled over by their new wireless capability (network up to 5 machines together and browse and pull picture instantly) and the ability to autofocus within LiveView mode itself!

It also announced new AF-S lenses, something which I do not really understand. If it is going to go full-frame, they might as well release AF lenses. Can these AF-S lenses go into the new D3? Nikon-ions, please enlighten me....

What's wrong with AF-S lenses? You're probably mistaking them for DX lenses.

Thanks Chris, I was confused. I really meant DX lenses.

Let me answer my own question. The D3 CAN accept the lenses designed for 1.5x FOV lenses, the DX lenses. :0!!! Again, an impressive strategy by Nikon. How does it do that? When FX (full frame) lenses are fitted, it will take pictures in full 12 MP, at 9 fps. When DX (cropped) lenses are used, pictures will be taken in 5.1 MP, at 11 fps. What a wonderful concept!
