Brandless SD card - What effect ?

Hi guys ... juz wanted to know will brandless SD cards spoil the camera ? What's so bad about brandless SD card ? and can anyone tell me the current price of a decent brand of 4GB SD card ?

edit: is there any difference btw SD and SDHC ? can SDHC go in Nikon D40 ?

i dun think it will spoil yr cam. i will be more worried if the card fails & yr previous image stored in the card might be all gone.
so i always opt for a branded 1 when it's for my camera.

SDHC is faster i think. & ya D40 can support SDHC card.

icic .. so cacat card juz scared it suddenly die la ? No harm to the camera ?

SDHC means high capacity SD card. :) The read/write speed still depends on which speed variant of the card you are getting eg 66x, 133x ... the higher the speed the higher the price.

I highly recommend sandisk . 4gb might cost you around 200 or more i think.

confirm ar ? I juz search ebay ... SDHC sandisk 4gb cost about 50 aussie dollars .. tats about RM150

Sorry I mean depends on which speed you are getting. My camera doesnt support SDHC so I am not that sure the price. :redface:

It depends on how the card dies. Sometimes it will affect the camera.
It will be a big risk using these type of cards.
