Fulat, with the +10 filter, how close do you have to get? What focal length was this at? Well, too many green twigs in the foreground, try to get a clearing with just the butterfly.

CM, with the +10 macro filter u need to go closer than normal. and the focal length at that photos is around 170mm.
i tried to use +24 macro to shoot ants... damn hard... even with Mega I.S.O also u cant get it right after 20 try.
that's why i wanna try ya raynox. :D

Nice.
Nothing weird, just need to get used to it. If you observe those lovely, beautiful, mouth-watering macro pix we love to drool over :D , most of it is pretty clean i.e. not much distracting details or creatively cropped.
The head, antennae, eyes, thorax and right wing would look/contrast better against a relatively lighter background.
Bottom left foreground twig is distracting lor.
May look weird because this poor butt looks like it put itself into a problematic position - se how the wings are positioned.
DOF - this just needs more shooting! :D
Bottom right portion of wing has begun to pixelise.
Suggest a crop beginning from the upper twig on the butt's right to just before the twig between its wings.
Jes' me thoughts.
