I embarked on a journey to South Africa some time in November 2005. These are the photos taken on the plane before touching down in Cape Town.

This rocky terrain has little economic value but it is gorgeous.

Women's glittering best friends come from mining pits like one of this.

Cape Town is built on considerably flat terrain.

Like #1 #3 & #4 , especially #1.
Prefer #2 with sky cropped to focus on the valley below.
#5 reminds me of moon or other planet surface pix/topography.

The double layer window does defract the light a lot. I like the blue sky.

Coupled with a polariser, I could play around with the diffraction, quite fun though. :)
