i kinda notice from most of the wedding posters / photos which are taken by pros (those which are put on display over the projectors during dinner) are somewhat images which have undergone massive PP and DI. Even those images Ive seen in promo albums (those which bridal house put out during shopping mall promos) are in similar fashion.
Makes me wonder if this is the kinda trend for local bridal shooters, or has it ALWAYS been like this since many many moons ago?

Yah even those that shoot with MF they use some kinda soft filter and touch-up after for album..
It's the style here I guess.
Clean and sharp aint in.

yeah i noticed that too. always that sort of style. but me no likey. damn fake and looks so ordinary. such a special occasion needs something more special and lasting...
a lot of bridal photos i see typical style, nothing jumps out to me. would like to see more fresh stuff. once in a lifetime, isn't it? :D

A lot of studio portraits are done like that here too, ends up looking very fake not really like the person you are trying to capture.
The PP is a bit heavy-handed.
That's why I've had some people approach me for commissioned portraiture work because they like my clear and sharp pictures which try and concentrate more on capturing the essence of the person...rather than masking it.

come to think of it... yeah, even normal portraiture too. and the backgrounds for the pics, is a piece of weird plastic, lighting all those... not so well done like some photography i saw online...
and the skin is so plasticky, i fail to see any beauty in the pictures that those studios took.

I would prefer to have a photo album taken/created from the whole Wedding Reception itself, too bad if people want to view the photo album before the wedding but the feeling you get during the actual cannot be repeated and something that should be treasured.

tresca & Na7ure: I can't go around compositioning each subjects I take on the actual day cause I myself is bloody busy. LOL. Going around snapping those pictures also kena a mouthful from my parents. Imagine if I go and re-arrange every single thing so I could take pictures... My sister's wedding will also become the day her brother kena whacked for slacking off.
g88: Don't worry ler... so far, i'm very happy with my Kitlens, have not succumbed to the POISONs that these ShutterAsians tried to inject me with. :D

Actually, to snap a good photo, you should do something about your object, it is very nice if u are able to move the tissue box away. You can refer to kenneth tan or louis shooting. I believe your parents and sis appreciate your hard works. Good job!
