Better not, unless someone has tried it before. Don't take chances with electrical contacts or high capacitance discharge, it may damage your circuits.

i had a friend with a 20D , he said he attached it a few times. so far so good. but i m abit scared to do it. can't afford to lose my camera to a cheap old flash.

anyway , is it ok if i use this flash using a wireless trigger ??

I'm currently using one, so far the only complain I have about it is it takes time to trigger and you'd have to snap a shot without the flash fires before the flash would trigger again.

You can check what trigger voltage that flash has here: http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html

not sure abt other brand.. but if u sellotape d nikon sb600/sb800, so become only one pin, wen using flash u can push d shutter speed limit above d 1/500 limit.. even going to 1/2000...

I'm using one on my D70s... a 20-yr old Suntax 9800...
touch wood... so far ok, only that everything had to be manual.
But I've checked the output voltage first... well below the
limited 250V... otherwise, can fry your cam...:P
