Tele lens is good to pick up intricate details of a landscape and could be used to provide some stunning images of mother nature. For an example, to pick off a lone standing tree and frame it in the middle of the field with a sun setting background. :)
Anyway good image you have there. How did you meter to get the whole sun in a ball shape?

I would recommend a ND grad filter, so that you would be able to get more details from the ground..

thank you guys.. just point and shoot the sun, no special setting was made.. anyway, all the EXIF data was still there.. maybe it could give some info about this shot. :)

Hey good shot.. Just that it's a little oversharpened. Can see halos forming around already.. Anyway good try.. No one said that telephoto zooms couldn't take good landscapes!

thanks ming for the advise.. you've got a great eye for judging.. twice usm of 400 applied on this shot, but still can't be that visible to everyone's eye.. great one ming :D
sorry about the captions before the pic, just couldn't found any better to start with this photo .. :P
