S9600 worth?

Worth to consider the S9600?What i know is FZ50 High ISO is bad..or will you suggest me to have the Entry DSLR

S9600 is good camera. Go for it. If you can pay more, go for a entry DSLR.

Yeah FZ-50 is a great camera too, we have some members using it here to great effect.

Especially for macro with the Raynox close-up adaptor.

I would consider an entry level SLR though if you think you are going to get more serious.

Perhaps a Canon 400D or pick up a second hand Nikon D40 or D40x as there's a few around now for bargain prices.

Saw a D40 kit boxed for only RM1500!

Since you have think about the entry level DSLR... D40x might be better choice... but if prosumer is the only option.. I will go for S9600

i have a fz50 bought in nov 2006...great camera but am selling it with a additional battery, sunpak flash, a teleconverter, uv filter and a cpl filter all for rm1800..u interested? reason is i am going to get a pentax k100d super as i have some old pentax lenses which i want to reuse oh a digital slr...let me know if u interested...

Aiya brother....beginning i wish to get the FZ50...but at last i found that FZ50 bad in High ISO even 200...So,might wish to get S9600 or Entry DSLR...Hey keep it la...still powerful mah...and plus a DSLR la...

Kit lens is 18-55mm, standard. 24/28mm kit lens would be for full frame cameras.
