Nice one ! what lens you are using ?? i never able to shoot this close during my few trips to Bako.

for those who don't know..proboscis monkey attract the female by the size of their nose and also it is said that they have a permanent erection...:D just look at the pics..:0

i did it with a 80-200 i think. recently the monkeys aren't that afraid of humans anymore, and they're quite near the docking bay. a 400 would be perfect.

i heard last time it was really hard to spot monkeys when it wasn't so 'touristy'

too bad i didn't see any silver leaf monkeys :(

Nice catch clemong888. Where is this place ?

bako national park. about 40 mins off from kuching city. should spend at least a night o two day. other than monkeys, there's some species of pitcher plants as well and its a nice place for sunsets as well :)

lol,i guessed i tweaked too much with it. cause it was taken under harsh lighting and the monkey's eyes in most pics are always dark. so i pped quite alot on it..

btw, this was not taken in japan but in sarawak :)
