there are 3 places where i find the best duck rice..they are as follows in my liking order:
1. Van stall on the road to OUG...Loong Kee

2. Sunrise Duck Restaurant - seapark

3. A stall opened in front of the corner restaurant at seapark near the international school area.

if and when i get a chance to take some photos of the place then i will post it in :tongue_roll:

lu_cf: Yes, Sunrise is quite nice, and that stall you're talking about in Seapark? That's INSANE. I've to call them up 1 hr ahead just so that I could get my duck and roast pork on time! LOL

yeah... that one ok... its for those who like herb taste.

duck lor uncle noordin. :D to me duck got some kinda duck smell which i dont really like it.

cleaning the duck and how to dry the duck is another techniq which u can remove the smell and retain the tenderness of the duck meat as well.

some used heavy 五香粉(five smell powder - some kinda chinese herb) to remove those duck smell. over used it like many does kill the duck taste.

practically duck meat is harder to bite off compare with chicken. so the meat is another factor when it come to a roasted duck.

last and never least... the skin of the duck as well.

i had something 4 months ago which have crispy skin, tender and juicy meat and never smell roasted duck. :D

What about the one in Paramount? Loong Foong?
ah... that one ok.... i still prefer another one in seapark which open only at night located at the corner. which his opposite is a tyres shop. me and my friends can finish 1 whole duck there with a vege and 排骨王.

thats still my pj first choice of roasted duck. :D

Fulat: I think that's Long Fong that Orion is talking about. That one, you have to pre-order if you want to get one before they sell out.

u guys r correct..the loong foong stall is my number 2 listed. There is one more unique duck dish. Not duck rice. It is stew duck but also roasted on the outside. It is very crispy on the outside and soft and tender inside. That is at CHow Yeong restaurant in SS2.

If anyone has any duck rice that is better (in his/her) opinion, pls share and i would dearly love to go and find out...in kl or PJ :run_away:

My favourite is Paramount, Sunrise and Hoppy in SS2 (For herbal kind).

Hoppy is over-rated IMHO... just because it belongs to a HONGKIE Actor..

Anyone tried the Duck Porridge in the Menara MBPJ square? My fav. whenever I'm in that area... :p

I doubt it's over-rated, I don't know who it's owned by and I've never heard anyone mentioned.

I just tried it one day and I really like the duck there, and now it's one of my favourites.

Nothing to do with any 'rating' :D

The Hong Kong actor I'm talking about goes by the nickname of AH CHAN, he has retired since, was an active actor in the 70s and 80s with a lot of notable chinese drama and movies under his belt. Married a Malaysian wife, staying in Seksyen 19/SS2 (I'm not sure the row of houses near the Rothman Round-about is consider as SS2 already or still part of Seksyen 19)
