I saw the new Vios on the road in S'pore and Vietnam. I must say it's quite a nice-looking car. Not sure if it's out in KL but if they sell for under RM70K, might be very tempting to get one.

What do you think? Or maybe should wait for new 2008 City?

Please visit the nearest Toyota showroom to have a look at the all new Vios.

I was massively disappointed in its build quality. The seats, to be precise, were horrendous. What in their minds were they thinking? IMHO, the seats feel inferior against the current Vios version and is no better than RM50+/-k Malaysian makes.

Good comment! Consumers should be more discerning!

Really? Wow... is it b'cos it's locally assembled? The ones I saw outside M'sia seems to be quite well-built.

And they asking >RM80K? Geez....

Hahah yea, its assembled in Thailand. Still remember the last trip i took there, a lot of their taxis were actually Altis :)

Honda on the other hand is assembled locally.

I would rather get a used Celica then the new Vios. The price is almost the same.

Malaysia is so slow. The new vios was launched in Thailand since early mid 2006. The new Altis is very nice.

Malaysia slow? That's a rather narrow sweeping comment. 'Our' Mercs and Beemers are almost always first... and how bout new Lancer GT? And how bout the Civic Type-R, the only market outside Japan to get the JDM spec.

Besides, the sedan market segment is less competitive in Thailand compared to Malaysia. :)

the Vios model is the brainchild of
Toyota Thailand and it's for distribute in SEasia only, if i'm not wrong :)
the same goes to Toyota Avanza and Innova.
