I managed to visit two botanical gardens in South Africa to see all the species that we don't get here in Malaysia. One is called Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, and the other is Harold Porter National Botanical Garden. So here are all the flower shots from these two lovely gardens. I dunno the name of the flowers, so please don't ask me. :D

very nice. you are the most avid traveller amongst photo kakis whom i know. DA is another one. i remember your excellent italy-series.

Is Kirstenbosch in the vineyard valley? I remember a lovely trip to Stellenbosch for the winery tours. Didn't notice these gardens then ... beautiful flowers :)

[edit] ps: #3 is my fave for the colors, dof and bokeh

I've seen some of these flowers here but gosh I cant ID them. :P

Some shots seem a tad underexposed and dark, or perhaps that's just to me.

Thanks mobbes. :) Kirstenbosch is not in the vineyard valley, it's on the west coast of the peninsula.

I've seen some of these flowers here but gosh I cant ID them. :P

Some shots seem a tad underexposed and dark, or perhaps that's just to me.

I dunno that some of these flowers are here in the tropics. My monitor is not calibrated, so probably my brightness control on the shots are not accurate?
