Good work from the kitlens, I've never had the pleasure (or displeasure to some, lol) of shooting bugs mating. The 2nd insect's a Purple Hairstreak, or Quercusia quercus.

Nope.. I did not use any close-up filter. Though..i just got back my Raynox DCR-250 from my friend and i'm keen on putting it to the test tomorrow if the weather is good.

Crazymalaysian, come follow me to Damansara Utama's uptown lol.. The day i took these photos i got this fly, the next day I saw ermm.. some other kinda bug lol... and the today I saw grass hoppers doing it lol.

Damansara uptown? Got alot of bugs there? The raynox does quite well on medium telephoto lenses, on the canon kit lens you'll only get good results at 55mm. At 18mm you a big black circle around your frame.
