For this section more information is required like a proper map, review and location info.

Your title should be Penang Assam Laksa at Jalan XXX, Area

Because I'm sure there will be many Laksa posts not just this one!

If you could edit those into your post it would be great!

The pics are nice.

Cheers

this is the one outside the Ayer Itam market, entrance to Kek Lok Si.

IMHO, this is the over ratted and worst assam laksa in Penang, sorry i have to say this...

Darn! These pics do make me have the urge to grab the first flight back to Msia, then fly/bus to Penang. I can actually feel the sourish/hot/spicy+a tangy saltiness of the flavour doing its tricks on my taste buds - just by looking at this familiar sight!!

This same laksa + soya bean (ice) + a hot sunny day + a second serving of laksa + sugarcane juice = aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!! :D greatest combo!!

The location of this stall is directly in front of the Air Itam market. Drive in to the carpark of kek lok si and you will see the stall on the roadside. Try going there at non peak hour as if you do on lunch time, you will have to queue up for at least 30 mins to get your share...

It is a 2 thumbs up for this food as its very original. BTW, the previous owner of the stall place had moved to Singapore.... saw the old aunty n uncle there and had some chat up with them (The one where news paper claimed their Laksa with tissue paper one). They are in singapore running the same business as well at Boon Lay RD market 2 floor of the food stalls. Reason of leaving Penang is due to their eldest son studying in NUS (University of Singapore). :D

Hope this helps....

i went to eat at this shop. At first I ordered the small one. Then cannot tahan, ordered a big one. Besides, it is so economical for someone who eats in KL....:partyon::tongue_roll:

Found it via GPS.
