Thanks to jayhan in his tutorial for Velvia look, I'm able to re-look at these images.

A scene just beside the railway line.

Tiny fishing boats with the portable engines removed. The people still fish in this lake but mainly using cast nets. The horizon looks out but it really is not.

Waited for the sunset. But we were facing East so it was not an ideal location.

Great, the velvia touch really works.

The first one is like a Microsoft Windows wallpaper!

I find the 3rd one very underexposed though.

It was a scene where the near foreground is even darker than the picture but the sky was bright, this was around 7pm. I didn't want to expose the foregound because I wanted to capture the scene as it was that evening.

Nice reflections in the third shot, first 2 are lovely too, though personally I'd prefer less green grass and more blue skies. :)

i've been here before.
went there for fishing, but no fish! :P
here u'll see the train passing by but it looks like the train moving on the water.

my personal fav is #2!!

I like the 2nd shot. Exposure is spot on... and lovely composition with the boats in place. Glad the velvia post processing technique is helping on. :)

Velvia - how come not enough green and even blue a bit lighter leh? :redface:
