Went to eat in Taipan's Logenhaus yesterday with my family. We decided to go there because my hubby, Foxxy had a pretty nice dinner there previously (few years ago) and decided it's time to return again.

Fox20 ordered the Charboiled Lamb. It was RM17 on the menu and it was pretty gravy-licious but according to him, pretty tasteless. Being a mutton-lover, it's like a death sentence to the dish.

I ordered the Pot *something something* LambShank (RM20). The lambshank was plopped artfully on two pieces of hash and yes, it was overflowing with gravy. Same type of gravy mind you with the rest of the dishes on the table. Mushroom gray gooey stuff with black pepper and whatnot.

Sis ordered a big-ass lamb something from the set dinner which includes a soup of your choice, the main dish, and a Movenpick icecream. It was huge looks really intimidating. Tasted pretty good at first, then her jaw muscles gave up on her and she started to complain that the meat's too tough to go on.. They gave her 2 sauces (one the generic mushroom sauce and the mint sauce). Set dinner was RM30.

Mom had the same thing. Her comment was "This lamb did not take bath for very long time. So smelly one, but no taste!"

We suspect that they had the meat in the freezer for too long. Ah well. It was a case of "look good, but dun taste good". So be warned! :P

Nice shots and good write-up, looks like I'll be avoiding that place.

If you want some good similar stuff in Taipan area look for Meaty House, great sausages and pork ribs.

Any map or location for this place?

It's on the same row as Maybank in Taipan...and opposite Starbucks. I believe Meaty House is just right across the road from Logenhaus.

Was previously choosing to go either Meaty House or Logenhaus.... :0

Better luck next time hopefully.

LogenHaus is directly opposite Starbucks..same roll as Pizza Uno. If i not mistaken, Meaty House is next to Starbucks. :)

I'll certainly give the place a miss. In any case I very rarely stray over there! :D

No, was it good?

I tried the Hungarian Goulash though... some sort of red beef stew with tinges of paprika. My tastebuds rejoiced! =D

But the main courses were a disappointment. :-(

Yeah, it looks yummy...but then again it was kinda tasteless...maybe the lamb's not fresh or something and not to mention very hard to chew. *ouch* :P
The Lamb shank my wife ate was better...
