I read somewhere that if u have 2 filters, a UV and a CPL filter, one should keep the cpl filter on at all times. UV serves nothing much but to protect the lens. Can i keep the cpl filter on at all times for all types of photography ( inlcuding night and flash ) ? I thot cpl filters should only be used for scenery shots ot still life :?

CPL filter shpuldn't be mounted on lens all the time. It cuts light entering the lens thus enchancing the colour when taking landscape shot. As light is reduced, it can't works in low light condition.
UV filter is however different. A good one can stay on lens all the time as it protects the lens from outside damage.

It's a no no ... speaking from experience ... I left my CPL on after using it in the afternoon and took a bunch of photos later that night with flash ... and the results were very bad ... grossly under and mucked the white balance big time :(:(:(

You've got it back to front, UV should be left on at all times - CPL ONLY when you need it.
