Scanning service for negatives, prints

Guys, firstly, sorry if this has been answered to death but couldn't find anything with search.
Need to find out how much photo shops charge for scanning in negatives and prints into digital photos, and if anyone has a particular shop to recommend.

you can try those photo stores at ampang park. they have good prices on printing, so the might have the same for scanning services.

I'm afraid we're a mostly digital generation here.

It also depends what kind of quality you are looking for, it ranges from normal scanning up to high end drum scanning.

Nothing of great artistic value, not after any high-end stuff.
Just lots of negatives and prints that represent a couple of decades' worth of memories of people and places (been snapping since late 80s).
Could get a scanner for under a grand and invest a huge amount of time, and end up with an unneeded gadget once completed;
or hand over to a shop and pay a fee.
Just need to know the prices they'd charge to make a decision.
