shooting at my friend wedding dinner using my 50mm F1.8 weapon C&C are welcome:)

actually i got the wrong setting for my optimize images, i set to vivid never turn to normal:run_away:

err. i guess you r using AWB. with the flash (white) + the hall light (yellow/orange) coz the AWB wrong, my 2cents ya....may b wrong

overall, improve a lot ya. keep it up. :)

preset white balance. Take a white card or paper with you all the time. It can be used as a bounce card for flash or white balance tool. Very useful.

Depends on the lighting indoor. If it is warm lighting, yellow or orange like....and u don't wanna use flash...go for incandescent or tungsten...

If it is white light, go for flourescent WB.

If it's flash plus warm lighting, adjust it accordingly, otherwise use an orange diffuser to create orange flash and then just set to tungsten/incandescent WB.

I believe white balance is very dependable on the situation. For example, what if the wedding banquet hall has cold fluorescent lights but someone set up some bright warm spotlights for video capture. Definitely your WB will be slightly screwed up when shooting with Auto WB. So you have to defenitely play by your surroundings whereby do plenty of test shots to determine the perfect WB setting you like. Its the digital age, no harm in doing test shots :rasta:

how about the ISO settings??

normally i would shoot from iso400-800 to capture more ambient/background light....with a speedlight, noise is less obvious.

To capture the ambient lights in, u cannot rn away from ISO 800 at f2.8. Use speedlite to make noise less visible.
