I'm not sure if im posting in the right section. this pic is heavily edited though (through curve adjustment, d-lightning in capture NX..)

As always, comments and critiques are very much welcomed:)

Looks like it's oversaturated.

Heheh, the 'original' looks better but I love the colours in the saturated version, can almost imagine it for a character from Cars :D

yeah agree with alan.
maybe you can try selective saturation adjustments.

I find the composition too central too, I'd like to see more space to the right side of the bike to give it some emphasis.

Higher contrast and less saturation would work well I think.

by comparing both photos, the first pic i think is not bad.
and of course, it was oversaturated.
i really like the stain on the wall that u brought up. very nice.
compostion, yes a bit loose.
too much empty spaces that shouldn't be in the photo.
overall, good effort and keep it up! :D

p/s: i cant help but to notice there's a dog/cat pee on the front wheel! :D

This bike looks interesting ... double headlights, the frame details & the colors (of the bike & environs). It'd be a very good subject for some lomo/holga effect, which is what I think you did with the saturation. However, I'd agree with ST that it's too central. Might you have a slightly more sideways or totally side view of the bike against the wall? I too stumbled across an interesting bike scene last year & I was tempted to have it fill the frame but decided to put it into one corner only :)

Some blueish color cast on the tyres and the white color front plate.

hmm, blueish light is very obvious.... i have to agree on that... try B&W or sephia and it will look better?

Just my opinion....

1. Technical: the exposure is ok.

2. Composition: messy, there is a line growing from the speedometer, the grills do not add much to the composition, the utility box just distracts the viewer.

3. Overall: this is more like a grab shot, sometimes leg zoom is the best zoom. Time your time to view the subject and compose it, it is going nowhere. Don't worry you are getting into the right direction.

yeah i agree with Shaolin tiger .. and loose the top left bit of the window grill what ever that thing is.

alancheong7,

I love the colors on the oversaturated version too:D Eventhough its far from reality heheh.

jayhan,

What is 'selective saturation'? Is it like, adjusting saturation on certain areas?

ShaolinTiger,

I put the bike at the centre because i thought that theres nothing to see on the right or left of the picture:D. Anyway for the contrast and saturation, i will keep that in mind:) I have used the lightning>curve in capture NX without modifying manually contrast and saturation. Just some color balance.

noruazumi,

Thank you for your comments:) yep, dogs are marking their territories everywhere !! :D

mobbes,

I'm no specialist in motorbikes but it was indeed a nice bike. I like its blue and red colors. I'll keep that off-centre subject in mind:)

ckchowov & galee,

Maybe the color balancing that ive done make the blue cast came out too much? I'll put the unmodified/uncropped version of this pic in the 'fix my pic section' :) . I dont really like sephia conversion but B&W would be nice:)

The line growing from the speedometer was a crack in the wall i think. I didnt remark it until u said about the line  . cant do much about the grill and the toolbox (the one at the back is it?) though. the bike is too near the grill i think. I'll go and find the bike hoping that it'll be more photogenically-stationed this time:D .. and yeah it was indeed a grab shot. I dont want to see its owner come to me and asking me why i took a picture of his property.. I was having the 50mm prime on my camera so I was on foot zoom already:D

elrondi

It is a window grill:)

Thanks for all your comments. I'll put the original picture in the fix my pic section:)
