There is nothing improved with this version, unless you are using the 380EX flash on this camera.

Updated 19-Sept-07 firmware for EOS 400D users:

Q: What has been changed in version 1.1.1 of the firmware?

A: The following fixes and improvements have been incorporated.

1. Adds detailed information about three new lenses.
Adds details about EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS, and EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM. This makes the correct lens names appear in Exif information and in printing when using PictBridge.

2. Polish has been added as a new display language in the menu screens.

Personal experience:
Felt that the EF-S 18-55mm IS focuses faster and more accurate at low light conditions. Previous 1.1.0 firmware made the lens "hunt" a little.

well if you not having those new lens the new fix would do anything better to your camera !
