Both pictures appear to be under exposed to me, and the 2nd one seems to be out of focus. Some flash will help.

Yeah have to say it looks quite underexposed to me, I guess some of the reflections or highlights could have fooled the camera into underexposing.

Try spot metering in the center of the flower.

The first one is lovely and sharp, perhaps a slightly tighter composition would be good too.

Love the waterdrops tho!

actually i'm quite reluctant to use flash, cuz it always give me the unreal thought. i know it is stupid but i guess i just need to learn how to use it, haha.
