Suggestion for Inactive Member Expiration

One thing I would like to suggest to the forum is regarding the member count. To encourage ppl to post pics or comments, why not we have expiration periods for members so that members would always be active members rather than passive ones.

We could set 2 conditions for this expiration to kick in..

1) No post within x months
2) No log in within y months

x could be 3 to 6 months and y could be 12 months....

We don't want to end up 8000 members and only 150 active members...right? :hump:

We also discussed this last night at our meeting as it is my policy to delete inactive members (those that have not posted for 6 months perhaps and those that have not logged in for 1 year or more).

We can fine tune the logic as we go, but we have agreed we want to keep the member count as active members.

I agreed with this suggestion as it will help easier housekeeping especially to those spammer account.

NEW IMPLEMENTATION :
Active members with posting numbers of more than a certain specified amount will enjoy benefits of joining ShutterAsia's PhotoShoot Outings, such as the upcoming one, with model Stephenie and Eelaine. :)

Hope this will encourage more postings (and please, NOT SPAMMING!)

I have already pruned the membership, don't wish to claim inflated figures.

I've deleted close to 50 members that have signed up but not activated their accounts.

Will be keeping up regular pruning.
