It's easy to sell this lens. If you're intending to buy another lens then by all means sell it and use the proceeds to help you get the other lens.

when i started... i donno understand wat i want.. everyone said 50mm so I follow blindly also.. :(
i wanted to get f/1.8 but was deeply/blindly poisoned by the salesman to get f/1.4 which got ready stock. :(

Personally I'd keep it, cheapest and lightest f/1.4 lens, it's worth it for low light and it's excellent for street photography.
Very accurate colour and nice contrast.
I sold my 50mm f/1.8 and bought the f/1.4, worth it!

50mm F1.4 is a fastest and cheapest prime lens in Nikon AF lens line up. F1.4 is great for low light, i think u should keep it.

Yeah... at first when I bought it and had my hands on it, I was thinking, "Wtf, so light and looks cheapo. Can this thing really take picture?" but once I learn more about taking decent pics, I found out this lens is a gem. Can take superb pics with more accurate colors compared to my 18-200.
If it is troubling you on wether to keep it or not, sell it off if you don think it serves u any good. Get other prime lens instead. All primes are good in low light area. :D

it's a very popular lens and many ppl are interested in the lens. i would say, perhaps you should give the lens another chance. it's one of the better big aperture lens out there. try to make use of it before you ditch it to the hungry wolves :D

I m surprise that this thread is still going on... and is on the 3rd page.
sorry, the lens sold about 5 months ago to my friend.
well, I missed the lens but no regret at all.
It will definitely under utilize with me.
Just to share my view/thoughts, I prefer a more versatile lens.
50mm is kind of long on DX for me (base on table length of a restaurant) and magnification is kind of small too. I will keep it if i has around 1:3-1:4
I decided to sold it after I got a 60mm which I think is more "versatile" to me.
I can do close up or even some head shots.
I might consider a 35mm f/2 and has 1:4.2 magnification ratio. well just dreaming... not going to spend too much on gear.. :P
After all I am just a snap shooter. :D:D:D:D
