I present to you fellow members of ShutterAsia...
Andrzej Dragan...
A Phd holder in Quantum Physics. Now this is the kinda guy/photographer who dont need anyone to like his work. Doubt he needs C&C too. Cuz he dont care, and I guess he's got the rights to not care since his work has surpassed many ordinary level. :P (Check out his opening statements).

well i came across this guy's portoflio via ref.
apparently he was the one who started the heavy sharpening and clearing of eyes which is applied by part of manuel librodo PP technique. maybe not started, but at least make use of it massively.
what i like abt his images are the "dark mood" it presents. very thought provocating.

The challenge for him, I think is to "mould" the pictures to reflect his views of the subject. Thus the heavy PShopping to create the images as what he sees them as.
He can do that because he has made a name but we would be crucified if we try! :D

Heavy USM and High Pass Filter, a bit like Dave Hill and Greenberg styles.
This guy a bit more dark though, I dig it!

I think its more about how gutsy is a person to stand by his work - thus rebuffing others who critique... but obviously in order to be able to do so, one must have quite a significant approval rating on his/her work. Photography and art has long been associated together, and there's no wrong or right in art. But when, say, you have 90% of your viewers who say your works are good, then it must be good... and you can just choose to ignore the other 10% ;)

Like I said, it all boils down to approval ratings ;)

Yeah ST... very Dave Hill as well. But notice those crystal clear eyes? I find it similar to that of Manny's... or at least I was told.

For this kind of picture you need very soft light and people with a character face
i prefer old people
in the pp you have to work with the dodge and burn technique.
