First one looks like pic was underexposed and PPed back, or BG definitely underexposed.

Just needs some light NR.

Second one looks like condensation on the lens - caused by moving from cold to hot environment without giving the camera time to acclimatise.

Could be something else like grease or oil on the front element. Or a fingerprint on rear element.

Can fix it by introducing some contrast and sharpening - slight NR to reduce effects of boosting contrast.

spot on shaolin tiger.

#2, check the front of lens, cheap filter maybe. Strong front light and no lens hood maybe. Even finger print smudges can do that!

All because too many pretty ones :run_away:

I experienced cheap UV filter may caused such problem, especially at indoor lights.

I use Neat Image, Noise Ninja and have just recently started trying Noiseware from http://www.imagenomic.com/ - it's very good.

Much faster and easier to use and retains more details whilst removing more noise.

Very impressive.
