Received my Sigma APO 150mm Macro lens today :D .

Impression: The lens is heavy (900g) and the built quality is solid. The AF is quite fast especially with the limit switch to select the focal length.
Likes: The internal focus mechanism do help in taking macro i think. The Sigma HSM do what its promise, the noise level is low during focusing. Reasonable price RM1350 (i bought a second hand lens though) for a good macro lens, come with 72mm Nikon UV filter somemore :redface:
Dislikes: Don't really like the lens surface (didnt match with the nikon body, and some people claim that its easily tear off :mad::mad:. The lens is bit heavy for hand hold especially with this focal length (NO VR for Sigma), and need to find another tripod as my current one only hold 1Kg :rolleyes: .

How I wish the 105 VR got a tripod foot just like this.

VR is useless for macro anyway, but nice review this is one of the best macro lenses out there.

I think you mean to select the focussing / subject distance :)

Good lens, You got it at a good price too. I guess this one is very good for insect macros as you can keep a comfortable distance from them. Yummy...:tongue_roll:

ya, there is a switch to select focusing distance from 0.38 - 0.52mm, 0.52 - 150mm, or 0.38 - 150mm.
