Shutter Asia's Photo Outing - TTDI Taman Rimba Kiara - Macro and Scenery

Date: 28th April 2007 - Saturday
Time: 9.30am (Please be punctual)
Meeting point: Main Carpark Outside Taman Rimba

Bring your macro lenses, closeup filters, extension tubes and prosumer cams, this is hardcore flower/insect macro time!

1. Bring water
2. Bring mosquito repellent
3. Bring your camera, your lens of choice, fully charged batteries, and empty cards.
4. Bring a small towel to wipe your sweat

Directions from KL:

- Proceed towards Taman Tun via Jalan Damansara. At the Damansara Sprint Toll near Phileo Damansara/Eastin Hotel keep left for Toll Plaza A (Taman Tun). Zero tripmeter at toll.
- After toll keep to the right lane and at 2.0k exit right on to Jalan Tun Mohd Fuad, TTDI.
- At 2.5 km turn right into Taman Rimba Kiara and try to find parking

From Penchala Link:

- Take the TTDI exit on Penchala link
- Keep going straight until you see a Mosque on your left
- Take the next left after the Mosque. Taman Rimba will be straight ahead.

TDDI is a small place. The most visible landmark is the blue colour IBM tower, isn't it ST ? But like ST said, after the Damansara Sprint Toll near Phileo Damansara/Eastin Hotel KEEP RIGHT as if you don't you may not be able to turn right when you reach the junction because of a divider in the middle of the road.

Lots of place of have breakfast there in TDDI, including a very good Ipoh Hor Fun shop, Penang hawkers, etc. Maybe it will be a good idea to meet for breakfast before proceeding to Taman Rimba Kiara.

OMG !! A minute ago I received an email that I have been shortlisted to attend the "Creative Commons Malaysia Photography Workshop" hosted by the Multimedia Development Corporation. The date is this Saturday in Cyberview Lodge, Cyberjaya.

And before this I have taken out my macro gears and have them cleaned for this Saturday. I never thought that I was going to be shortlisted as I was told that the places were oversubscribed.

Guess I will have to miss you guys. I was looking forward to it. :(

I will now do macro on Sunday morning at the Putrajaya Wetlands. Company will be desired, craved for, :)
