Challenge #3 - Reaching Out

Caught this at my in-law's lawn. Don't know the name of the flower tho.
The rain had just stopped. Air was fill with smell of after-rain freshness with soft dusk sunlight beaming down. Couldn't resist taking out my camera and snap away some photos.. esp with my new lens here :D

I like the PP. suits the situation alot.
IMHO , i think it will be better if you 'age' the picture more.

what i did was since this is a bokeh shot with very big apperture, i only blurred and the sharpenned the whole pic to the extend that it created a paint-like effect, and the flower stands out more. of course some adjustment on levels was applied also lah. :D

the green background is the leafy-grass like the ones in the foreground. the whole stretch is actually a flower bed, and when come season time, the whole flower bed will be filled with the small flowers. very nice.

on age-ing the pic more.. ya.. i tried and it is nice too. but, somehow i dont think it fits the december challenge. it looked more like a creative shot or post process.

btw, sorry for the late reply. my wife just delivered a baby girl. :cool:
might not be online for the next few days too.
