Hi guys,
Just got my Raynox and was happily shooting in my house. Saw my plant growing dryly in my house and decided to snap a pic of it. Please feel free to C&C...

lol, this is beautiful, but I find the DOF is not enough and a bit bark too.

Thanks Caveman, it was shot indoor with minimal light (only one white bulb spot light far away). Tried to set F size smaller... but no vail as the AF wont do their work.... :D think I need to DIY a El-Cheapo macro flash by jayhan.... LOL

I think this subject is a perfect compliment for backlighting!
Serious! Try it out. If you have flash and can do off shoe lighting, try backlighting to a white colored wall... better still if you can add some color gel (I sense yellow will work best)... then prop this up about 3 feet away from the wall and shoot it! :P

Nice, but as Cavey said about the DOF ... perhaps if cropped off the right part a bit more.
Jay's suggestion on back lighting is very interesting.
Methinks with backlighting or against morning window light, it would look real good in b/w - study in contrast.

Thanks guys... I will try out Jay's solution, but must find a time to DIY it....
Morning beam... hmm, I leave house for work when the sun is not even out... lol
Anyway still... thanks for the comment... Will go try out more on the suggestion :D
Alan: PP ah... got any suggestion on how to do it?

Hah?!?! PP?!?!? errr ... errrrrrrr ....
I'm sorry, I'm really not PP literate but the b/w & fix my picture threads are quite informative. Put it into fix my picture, you'll see lotsa help :D Sorry, mate
Wow, gotta say your plant's drying gracefully!!! I think the DOF's okay, just that it seems slightly underexposed. Could have also tried to boost up the saturation a little too.

Ya lor.... the leaf turning yellow and some part even dried up like this pic...
I have to agree that this pic is underexposed as it is about 9.00 pm when i shot this pic inside my house with poor lighting.... i thought of direct flash it but it will be over expose and lost its dryness feel.... hmm... I NEED MACRO FLASH~~~
:D thanks for viewing...
