A number of users have complained that EXIF information is being stripped from images.

After extensive testing and involvement from the vBulletin development team, we have found the EXIF is not actually stripped, but there's a problem with the way Opanda EXIF (http://www.opanda.com/en/iexif/) views the images from the dynamic image links implemented in newer versions of vBulletin.

To counter this problem you can install this extension for Firefox:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3905

Which has no problems at all viewing the EXIF for all attachments in Shutter Asia.

We have submitted this problem to Opanda and do hope they can update their Firefox Extension and Software.

We hope this is helpful to some.

Don't mind me ST, but I want to point out another option.

I use FxiF extension for Firefox. Just right-click, click properties and pictures with Exif data intact will get this:

http://ted.mielczarek.org/code/mozilla/fxif/exif-properties.png

I find the layout and the information given is logical and nicely arranged. Not as comprehensive but most of the essentials are there. Easy to read compared to Exif Viewer.

Get Fxif here:

I did try that one but it didn't work with the latest Firefox (2.0.0.3) so I left it out of my post.

Thanks for the info though!

That's odd indeed, last night when I tried to install it at home it barfed and said not compatible with this version of Firefox.

Let me try again...:?

How odd...it works now!

Thanks again, this is much neater than the other one.
