Yeah aim for around RM6000 including a good quality UV filter (Hoya Pro1D) and you should be set.

Just curious is it nessary to get VR lens? Coz i got an offer from a friend for 80-200mm f2.8 at only rm1900. 2nd hand lens

Which 80-200?
There are five variants of 80-200, the best one is the AF-S which today second hand is still selling 3500-4500.

depends on you. VR could stretch your capability when shooting in low shutter speed. :)

It's not necessary if you won't need it, it's all about your requirements.

Just make sure you fully understand what you need before buying any lens.

Yes its the push pull version

Thats not AF-S i think, coz its a very old lens, very strong build and heavy.

depends on you. VR could stretch your capability when shooting in low shutter speed. :)
But normally when shooting low shutter speed it would b wise to use a tripod. No?

tripod usage depends on the situation, location, etc. what if you want mobility for example staged photography. do u carry tripod everywhere on the stage?
