First Posting in Travelogues.
#1: My first flight in 2008!
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2214/2215865207_b41b2073c6.jpg
#2: I took AirAsia's flight. Ticket was booked way back in April 2007 when they offered free tickets giveaway. I managed to find free tickets for bothways. In the end, I'd only paid RM250 for airport tax for both airports.
Definitely worth it! :D

We got to be at the airport, checked in 2 hours in advance for overseas flight.
Some photos I took while waiting for boarding in that few hours.
#3: Captain, co-pilot & air stewardess.

#4: I practiced 'framing'.

#5: A shot out of the window when the sun sets as we reaches our destination.

#6: Destination: Bali. :D

First stop, Kuta Beach.
#7: On the first night in Bali, we stayed within walking distance to the Kuta Beach.
In the morning, we took a stroll at the Kuta Beach.

#8:
"Balinese are very clean people." My fren commented.
Seems true as we always see ppl cleaning up rubbish in the early morning.
Seen here are the tracks on the sandy beach after a morning cleaning up session.
They must have used machines to help clean up the dirty beach this morning.
On the other side, we could see rubbish & debris floated from the Sea, all piled up.
Officers are around them waiting to dispose of them.

#9:
We can see signs as this showing where swimming is allowed and where is not.
What I failed to notice is where swimming is allowed along the stretch of beach.
However, surfers can be seen enjoying the morning waves.

#10:
Surf boards lining up along the beach, waiting to be rented by those wishing to give surf a try.

#12: They conduct surfing class (theory) at the beach!

#13: Lady surfer. I'm sure she surfed, but not today.

#17: Surf enthusiastic and her instructor, getting ready to get wet!

Next stop, Bali Museum.
#25:
Bali Museum is a building with a lot of features not found in out common building in a concrete jungle.
I was amazed by it's architectural sculptures all over the building.
A great stairs lead thru 'an cut into halves' arch towards the entrance.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2330/2233659051_912810177a.jpg
#26:
See the highest point of Bali museum. Just below the pinnacle is a viewing room to see the surroundings of the Museum. Notice the 'spikes' around? That's the featured towers, a feature found in this building and a prominent feature in Bali's architecture.

#27:
Even doors are 'ornamented' with carvings - showing an artistic achievement of the skills of Balinese.

Uluwatu.
Monkeys residing here are ferocious. Been warned beforehand not to wear loose items, e.g. specs & hats. Therefore, being a scardy cat, I took off my specs (my only specs I brought to this trip) and lost the chance to see clearly of view before me. It's not until I walked faraway to the far side of the cliffs that I can finally put on my specs. Monkeys don't prowl at these areas.
Some shots of the cliffs: -
