What kind of research have you done on the lens? What have you found out so far?

A lot of mixed opinions on the lens. Most mentioned about the softness of the image for f bigger than f/8. Image sharpness is good between f/8-f/13. AF hunts in low-light. I'd like to get opinions from whoever who has tested this lens.
