i've already read up.. it means i shuld over expose and underexpose my pics and get 3 diff exposures.. but b4 getting my 400d... im using a prosumer camera which only allows me to shoot in JPEG.. can the HDR technique still be used???... btw.. is the photo edited using HDR good for printing, cos i usually print my pics out a4 size... will it affect sharpness or pixelation??

You can do HDR either by combining 3 or more of the same image with different exposure from jpg or generate from raw directly using a HDR software (not available in photoshop).
The link below has images in HDR you can print on your printer to find out.

Your options for creating HDR images are:
1) lookup exposure bracketing under your camera manual if its not available
2) shoot raw you can edit with your camera software using exposure compensation to create multiple exposure.
3) If 1 and 2 fails wait for your 400d.

yes, u'll be able to convert 3 jpegs of different exposures to produce HDR.
i believe you should be able to print an A4 size without any problems, as long as the resolution is around 300-350. But somebody needs to confirm on this..

Use exposure compensation when you take the picture.

You don't convert the files with different exposure levels, you TAKE the pictures with different exposure levels then merge them.
