Taking landscapes in the middle of the day without an ND grad is tough. Appreciate your feedbackon how I did on this one :)

Thanks alan. Strangely enough, when I saw the palms, my mind went back to the hotel california album cover :)

I think you've done exceedingly well, there doesn't seem to be a hint of blown whites in the clouds (the hardest part) and the foreground is well exposed with good shadow detail in the trees.
I would tone down saturation on the green channel slightly though and give it a little bump in contrast.

Thanks for your insightful feedback ST ... very much appreciated. Did you think the green lawn is too striking? I rarely use saturation in my pp, perhaps it was the mid-day sun coming straight down. I'll definitely try your suggestions though :)

No probs! Yeah I find the grass and the shrubs in the lower portion a little too green.
Probably because of the direct overhead light and no polarizer to cut down the reflections.
I often tweak saturation a little in RAW processing, either reduce a touch or add a little more.
Some pics need a little tweak on a certain channel too.
It's looks pretty fine and nice to my untrained eyes :)
