I strongly recommend you to over-exposure these two films by 2/3 or 1 stop. The colours from these films are outright bad and you will get coarse grains if you under-exposure them.

Have to try to dig out some shots. The last time I shot at the recommended ASA was many years ago.

actually, how long does a film can stand in normal temperature & humidity?
i mean without storing it in fridge.

Ask u guys one thing...Do u think those camera shops store the films in the fridge?
Also one thing my customers always ask me..DO we need to store the medicine in the fridge. I ll ask them back...Do u see me storing the med in the fridge?
However, if ur place is damn hot, then of course I ll ask u to put in a cooler place. Another thing is, if it is STATEd that it is required to be stored under so and so temperature, I ll follow. But then again, I store all my films in the fridge..Kekekek

i'm not sure about local shops but from where i bought my films each time i'min SG, they have a fridge dedicated to stroring all their films ranging from Velvia's to large formats :D.
There's easily 5,000 SGD worth of films in the fridge.
The shop is opposite Peninsular Plaza at City Hall. It looks like a 7-11 shop for film lovers

the reason i asked because so far i saw shops stored the films in a drawer only. of course the shop is air-conditioned but it is THAT cold like what have been suggested on the box.
and what i read on the box stating that it is ok to store in normal temperature but only if u want to use it straight away.
but for long storage, need to store under the right temperature.
so why shop didn't do that? cost saving?

Those shops off the AC too at nite. I think majority of the shops stored in cabinets and drawers. So far..The only place I see got store the Fujis in fridge is this Esix. Maybe the sales is quite fast? So they dun really store in the fridge?

There are several reasons for why there are few shops storing film in fridge. Most shops sell them fast enough (used to anyway) to even bother about storing the film in the fridge. They will be sold way before the expiry date, so heat damage will be minimal.

Even if there is a little heat damage, the photos will still come out. It is only the colours are slightly off - you will normally get off colours anyway if you go to a lab with bad printings skill. Majority of Malaysians are more concern about price than the slightly lower quality prints. They rather go to a place that prints at RM0.15 and wouldn't even notice the difference.

Yes, storing in cooler temperature preserves the colours and extend the life of the film. However, if the customers are fussy enough to select a shop that stores film in the fridge, they wouldn't even choose film that is close to expiry, so prolonging the shelf life will not be a reason for the shop to store film in a fridge.

I have seen very few shops storing film in a fridge, the old one in Jaya was one of them. Even Fuji themselves sometimes don't bother. I turned away from buying a block of film from Fuji at a photo fair, because they stored them in the display cabinet directly under the lights and all the films were feverish when they took them out.
