Bro,

Anything you do, pls don get a cheapo one... I learnt the hard way when I got mine... eventually sold off the cheapo one at 60% discount... it is a pain in the ass.... :S

one of the main disadvantage i find about the tripod is the angle adjustment part.

unlike real proffesional tripod, you can lock the angles.
the shashinki one can only either low or normal just by twisting the dial at the joints.

its quite hard to explain here without photos :-D
here is a photo from their website
http://shashinki.com/shop/images/SSK-1400B.gif

now you see the pic labeled "low angel locking".
thats the only dial that enable you to switch between normal and low angle.
and there is nothing to actually secure it properly. incase you accidentally kick one of the tripod leg inwards, the tripod may drop.

comparing to pro tripods like manfrotto, you can lock the angles like i said earlier.

and for that price RM315.00, somehow I do find it expensive.
however the height of the tripod is good though :-D thats the advantage

like all the other members said, dun learn it the hard way. :-D

I second that, i wonder why a lot of ppl travel with this kind of heavy tripod, I have Manfrotto 190PROB too, but I travel with a light weight velbon Max iL (less than 1kg) to shoot night scene when needed.
