Arrow Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve - A HIDDEN JEWEL in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Three days back, I woke up early and boarded two buses to Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve. I was a bit apprehensive at first because the idea of a forest reserve at the heart of bustling Kuala Lumpur is impossible. But, I was taken aback and I truly enjoyed my two and a half hours hiking to the forest.

It was a splendid and unforgettable experience for me!! I was impressed knowing that Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve was gazetted as a permanent reserved Forest since 1906. WOW!!! That is a whooping 103 years of protective status given to the forest! NO KIDDING!!

Here are some photos from my hiking trip:

Picture 1 - Mr. Arrow a.k.a. MR GREEN

Picture 2 - Swirling Fern

Picture 3 - Holed but still ALIVE

Picture 4 - Blade of GREEN

Feel free to check out my photo blog and travelogue:

Cheers!

@altair,

Thank you so much for your kind compliment!!!

@wyejon,

Thank you again!!! By the way, I spent at least 3 hours++ exploring the conventional and alternative pathways of the forest. I have to say it is VERY SAFE!! At least two security guards are patrolling the main forestry dept. entrance and the KL Tower border.

Anyway, people thanks a lot for looking at my pictures and also contributing your comments. I wish to apologies for this late reply because i was down with severe fever for three days. Feeling better now.

Picture 5 - Vandalism

cheers!
