Its an awesome lens to compliment the 5d for travel and covers the crowd just nice for an event. Even at f4 it does give some level of object isolation :p

Get it, if you"re planning for a trip with a 5d. Else i think, its best you invest in the trinity focal range 1

Heard alot great comment about this lens. Kinda of replacement for 24-70 F2.8L

Hopefully this is my next lens.

PS : Some sifu says it not wide enough for crops body. I used 28-135 before..so i quite like this range

I have the 24-105 on my 40D 85% of the time. My shooting style fits this range, despite of people saying it's not wide enough for a 1.6x body. If I want to go wider, I have the Tokina 12-24 to complement this lens.

I have sample shots using the 24-105 lens http://www.flickr.com/photos/lordmint/sets/72157606325019462/

I have it, almost 80% of the time on the 5D. It's got superb quality for such a large zoom range. Great walk around lens that's lighter than the 24-70mm f/2.8L USM and has IS. Highly recommended

i have this lens on my 400d 100% of the time mainly because my other lenses are no good haha and this covers most of range that i need while travelling. i do not think it is wide enough at times so i may need to get an ultra wide but i do not like to swap lenses while travelling so this is just what i need. it gives me good image quality and reasonably good bokeh...

good quality, some might says at F4 or at 105mm is not that sharp but to me is acceptable. At 24mm some say not wide, but I find it ok too. But it all depends on your interest, i.e the type of shots. Landscape? Probably u need the Wider. Street? I find its good..... my view is based on 1.6x cam..
