Xi'an..Actually it IS quite 'xi-an'!

Took some pic of recent trip to Xi'an. Nothing really great of the place, except for the historical background.

Xi'an capital of Shaanxi province in China.
With more than 3,000 years of history, it served as the capital of 13 dynasties.
Known as Chang'an in ancient times, it was the eastern end of the Silk Road.

The Drum Tower
First built in the Ming Dynasty , it is a combination of the architecture styles of Tang and the Qing Dynasty.

Public park fronting the Tower in downtown Xian

Due to the grey colours of most of the old structures in the city, Xian looks more impressive at night.

Haha..no worries.

I've added an ' to Xi'an...Actually, I also quite 'sien' with the place. Maybe, I am not a city person. And the grey sky makes the whole place lagi 'sien'!

I think photos in China should not include the skies, then they're nice. Like the night scene in this set. Nice.
