My first time at Sepang F1 - people shots

I went to Sepang for the F1 for the very first time last Sunday. Managed to shoot some smiles while keeping an eye on my son (could get lost in the crowd in the blink of an eye):

#1 Felipe Massa's fans

#2 Protection from the sun - a damp towel works wonders

#3 At first glance Posh Spice ... nope ... Ms Carey? ... nope ...
but she gave me a nice smile

#4 Protection from the sun ... poor girl spent the entire day out there

#5 We're sisters in arms

#6 Happy & cheerful ... they're in the shade

#7 Happy Scotsman with Denso girls ... see his kilt?

#8 When I grow up I wanna drive.... oops I'm grown up already

#9 Raikkonen's supporters

#10 Selling commentary radios in the sun

... more

Pics from my lumix (used for its 36-432 zoom range):

#18 Friendly pro - 2 bodies Nik D2 + Fuji S3/5 ... anyone can id him?

#19 Another Nordic fan - love her shoes

#20 Red as a lobster - though not many went topless to beat the heat

In the Citrine stands:
#21 Father & Son rooting for Ferrari & McLaren respectively

#22 Guys concentrating on the race report, Ladies chatting to while away the time

#23 Rose in the Mall ... thanks to Sampoerna, now I know her name

Finally the car shots with the Lumix at 432mm ... only 4 out of maybe 60 clicks ... even then no-head-no-tail (cantonese) hahahaha

#24 Lewis Hamilton (trademark yellow helmet)

#25 Fernando Alonso

#26 don't know who - I thought this is the most uninteresting design

#27 someone from the Italian Toro Rosso team ... hmmm that means red bull in Italian?

...finito ... grazie

The mini fan thingy is soooo cute!
I think the friendly pro could be McLaren-Mercedes personnel or official photog, based on his cap.
Love pc of chap in the ferrari mini-car around his waist.

That's Rubens Barrichello in a Honda RA107. Honda decided to run without sponsors this year and painted an image of Earth on the car to promote environmental awareness. Details at www.myearthdream.com.

That's Scott Speed in the Toro Rosso (yes, Red Bull) STR2, powered by a Ferrari 056 engine.
