Need advice on Sigma EF 530 DG Super

I need advice on this flash, it comes in two variant;

1. Sigma EF 530 DG Super - AED 1,050 (RM 955)
2. Sigma EF 530 DG - AED 650 (RM 590)
AED (United Arabs of Emirates Dirham)

The "DG Super" version is claim to be equivalent to Nikon SB900 in term of power, Googled some info from net , but need somebody's hands on experience on it.

Not sure about the Nikon version, but I bought the 530 DG Super about 2 yrs ago and it is a really good flash. No regrets and it is worth every penny paid.. The reason why I chose this over the 580EXII or the 430EXII, even if the price falls right in between both of them (it was RM1100 then, if I'm not mistaken.) was because it is almost as a good as 580EXII in terms of power with an additional feature to have a built in optical slave trigger. It can control the other Canon flashes such as the 580EXII and the 430EXII. Right now I have expanded my camera gears and I have the 580EX II and the 430EXII and they all could sync together. No regrets about it, although the build quality is not up to par. Oh well, what you get is what you pay for.

Not sure if that helps for you, I'm just sharing from my own experience. And by the way I am still using it up till today.
