pls help me on my photo

i had this photo that but it have so many dark on it..how i gonna make it have a little bit of detail..

Here is my attempt on PP your picture. I user Lightroom2 to do this.
I hope you like it. I like this picture very much and especially love the composition.

Here's my attempt. The picture is extremely heavily compressed, so it's hard to edit..after editing it's very pixelated and posterization is visible.

You have to re-upload a higher quality JPEG for any real work to be done. The one you posted is barely 80K, that is why all the details in the dark area is lost when the guys try to bump up the brightness.

IMO, original pic is good enough because of the contrast. i see it somehow underexposed in overall picture.

walau eh... can we have a better photo to work with? the shadow got no more information lah.... The photo obviously is over saturated... and too much contrast.... why why why make our life difficult... I think the standard S,P,A with standard picture control should better picture to work with... how to make salted fish alive?
