Cinematic Photography

hi everyone

came across to this technique in flickr. here are some discussions on it.
http://www.flickr.com/groups/techniq...7606664991624/

here are some great works that i admire by this guy using this technique.

i've been googling for tutorials on this technique and found only one
how-to-turn-your-photo-into-movie-like-effect-using-photoshop
...which is when i tried to apply is only an over-complicated steps for a simple process which in the end does not resemble much on the fine examples i've seen.

i've been experimenting based on my intepretation from those images. not sure whether i'm half-way or quarter-way there...or not even heading there at all. need your guys input and lot of helps on this.

thanks a lot in advance!

The processing only works if you have a picture that's cinematic in the first place.

A lot of void space or a good DoF effect.
