Since day 1 I joined, they have constructive critics on my shots, thus i learned a lot from SA.
And I don't see much charity from other forums but SA did. At least the grand one. If I not mistaken, SA took part in lupus day, something great. At least, this is real something to promote photography. We are not just camera guy, but we able to do something to help the rest. Cheers SA!! Good job from admin, and of course others that share a lot with us.

I think Shutter Asia has grown to be a very good forum and has a bright path ahead.
An internet forum can only be as good as the quality of its forummers. Lousy forummers, lousy forum. No forummer, no forum. Having said that, the quality of moderators is also important. They keep the forum orderly. Most importantly, they facilitate. They provide the environment for forummers to interact. Thus, at times they may have to exercise their "penal" powers. However, moderators should not be seen to bully or exercise their "power to punish" on their whims and fancies, be power crazy or be seen to be selective or unfair. Forummers must be made to feel (not just by lip service but by deeds) that they are in fact the stakeholders of the forum. The forum exists for the forummers. It can't or shouldn't exist for the few moderators !! I had once considered leaving this forum because I did not agree with its policy of not allowing a member to deregister his membership. On hearing of this, a staff from SA wrote to me to reconsider my decision. I was quite surprised. This shows that SA clearly value my membership and the membership of all the other forummers. I still do not agree with that particular policy but I know that I am welcome here in spite of that. That is goodness. Shutter Asia, I salute you and I acknowledge you with distinction.
